I once asked Randy Moss, "Is Cris Carter a Hall of Famer?". Moss replied, "Without a doubt", and he told me a story about a cold rainy day in Greenbay when Carter was making one handed touchdown grabs in the back of the end zone with no glove. That one play or Moss' story doesn't make Cris Carter a Hall of Famer, but we have seen Carter make those great plays over and over again. How else do you get the nickname "All He Does is Score Touchdowns"? So, I ask myself, why doesn't Cris Carter have a bust in Canton? Is it the use of cocaine early in his career? No one snorted more cocaine than Michael Irvin and he's a Hall of Famer. Are his numbers keeping him out of the Hall of Fame? Carter has better career numbers than Steve Largent. Is it the lack of Superbowl trophies? Carter's former teammate John Randle was inducted into the Hall of Fame without raising the Lombardi trophy. So, who's keeping Carter out of the Canton end zone? The same fraternity Carter joined after a hall of fame career has black balled him from Canton. THE MEDIA HAS SPOKEN.
