Has there ever been a Heisman collapse faster than Geno Smith's. Two weeks ago we experienced a video game inside of a stadium. He was better than Matt Barkley and the clear future of a NFL franchise. Now thousands of West Virginia fans are left in shock. Collin Klein was the only one that appeared to be in the Heisman race during this game. The worse part was Smith's inability to move the football as he only threw for 143 yards on a 4.5 yards per throw average.
In two games Geno has shown us he can't throw through the wind and that the Heisman race is leaving him. I guess even the people who are known for shredding defenses know how to get burnt. These past two performances are the things that turn QB's that were suppose to be 1st round picks into development players that get drafted in the 4th round. This has left Smith, WVU fans, and the college football world winded.
