Peyton Manning is back. Now the question is, Is he the Peyton Manning of old or is he just an old Peyton Manning? While he helped mentor Andrew Luck, he put Luck in a position to take his former team and run with it. That is exactly what Andrew did. Manning, then, got his money when signing with the Denver Broncos and he also got talent, and possibly, the best RB he has had in his entire career in Willis McGahee. So the only question is, Does he still have the game that made him one of NFL's best? Well, he's not going to get a cake walk in game 1 as he plays the best defense in the league in the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is coming off of several neck surgeries and is putting his future at risk by buckling up his chinstrap. Now, this isn't all negative... even a Manning with a lack of arm strength is better than Tim Tebow. Also, in the preseason, he showed some promise versus the 49ers, but as a whole not very Manning-like. By the way, he is 36 years old and has played 15 seasons in the NFL. Combine all that with the Superbowl hopes of the Denver Broncos and you get a roller coaster of a year for Manning that starts with him playing the Steelers. It will either be a great season or a great disappointment. There can't be an in-between. The Broncos might not have gotten an encore of Tebow Time, but they are about to witness the return of No. 18. For better or for worse.
