It was recently reported that Nate Robinson will sign with the Bulls. This signing is probably one for short term. However, there are some reasons why the Bulls should consider keeping him for the future.
Nate Robinson is the shorter version of J.R. Smith standing only 5' 9" tall. He can destroy the opposing team with his shooting and extreme athleticism, or he might obliterate his teams chances of winning. Now, for all the criticism Robinson receives he is instant offense off the bench.
Once D-Rose comes back, between Nate and Marco Belinelli they will shore up the shooting guard position. Once that occurs Richard Hamilton better have turned the clock back by seven years, or he will become expendable.
Even if Nate Robinson doesn't become an explosive scorer for the Bulls, he will have a contract that is flexible enough to move in a trade and will probably only be a one year deal. If he does became a good scorer for Chicago, you could put him at the shooting guard position and have one of the most explosive back courts in the NBA.
