The Nets are moving to Brooklyn this year and are relatively known for being bad, so even if Deron Williams leaves the Nets it wont destroy them like it will the Mavericks. The Mavs won a title over the Miami Heat a year ago, but when they turned into title defenders they put all their eggs in one basket and now they're about to get smashed.
The first decisions they made were to let all their players that were free agents basically walk for nothing (J.J. Barea, Tyson Chandler, Deshawn Stevenson, Caron Butler.) Now, with an old roster to go with an old star in Dirk Nowitzki, they could fall out of playoff contention if Williams re-signs with the Nets. Especially, if they lose their starting point guard, Jason Kidd, then backup guards Jason Terry, and Delonte West, the Mavs will have no true guard play.
Deron Williams could lead to the doom of the Dallas Mavericks, an aging team that was once a contender, but lets not leave out the option of Steve Nash coming to play with his old team.
